“In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”

“In his days justice shall flourish, and peace till the moon fails. For he shall save the poor when they cry and the needy who are helpless. He will have pity on the weak and save the lives of the poor.” – from Psalm 71

Through Advent we have been reflecting on the crib, its reminder for us to see Christ in others, and to make room for Christ and others in our lives. This quote from one of our House Saints, Alberto Hurtado SJ, sums this up really well. “I hold that every poor person, every vagrant, every beggar is Christ carrying his cross. And as Christ, we must love and help them. We must treat them as a brother, a sister, a human being like ourselves.”

Today we are going to watch a music video from the Catholic band Ooberfuse who we came across previously linking up with a singer from Bethlehem, and in this video we even more surprisingly see them collaborate with Snoop Dogg, and a homeless film maker. See how you think it links with our Advent theme and this quote from Hurtado.

This video is raising money for homeless charities this Christmas, so watch it again at home yourselves and share with friends and family. The more plays and the more exposure it gets the more it will raise for charity.

Lord Jesus, I give you my hands to do your work, my feet to go your way, my eyes to see as you do, my tongue to speak your words, my mind that you may think in me, my spirit that you may pray in me. Above all, I give you my heart that you may love in me your Father and all humankind. I give you my whole self that you may grow in me, so that it is you, Lord Jesus, who live and work and pray in me.

Amen.
